A capacitive membrane switch, also known as a capacitive touch film, capacitive touch switch, capacitive switch, or capacitive sensor, operates by detecting changes in capacitance caused by finger touch. This technology moves away from mechanical button switches, eliminating faults caused by mechanical wear.

Capacitive membrane switch products can be made very thin, with thicknesses usually ranging from 0.10 to 0.50 millimeters. They are flexible and can be used for different shapes or curved surface applications. Capacitive membrane switches have high transparency in the icon area, allowing backlighting to pass from the bottom circuit to the plastic icon. The capacitive touch film is applied to the back of the user interface, which is usually a glass or plastic cover plate with graphical icons or switches.

ITO capacitive membrane switches provide effective solutions for the display industry.

ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) is a high-tech product obtained by using magnetron sputtering technology, using ITO material as the sputtering target material, sputtering the indium tin oxide conductive film coating on the polyester film, and obtaining it after high-temperature annealing. ITO conductive film is a metallic compound with good transparent conductive properties.

The circuit pattern is revealed through silk screen printing and etching technology, thereby achieving the function of transparent conduction! ITO transparent electrodes have high transmittance and low resistance characteristics, making them an excellent choice for products with high display requirements!

PEDOT capacitive touch foil provides an economically effective alternative. As an alternative to ITO, PEDOT sensors have been proven to withstand more than 5,000 bending cycles. PEDOT also provides a more cost-effective solution.

Through silk-screen printing process, PEDOT is printed on polyester film to replace indium tin oxide (ITO). PEDOT is widely used in capacitive film switches. The printed film thickness of PEDOT is usually <1um.
