Il Resistore Sensibile alla Forza (FSR), noto anche come resistore sensibile alla pressione o sensore di pressione, \u00e8 un sensore che misura la pressione applicata. Quando viene applicata pressione, il valore della resistenza diminuisce e, man mano che la pressione diminuisce, il valore della resistenza aumenta fino a quando la pressione viene completamente eliminata e la resistenza torna a zero. Questi segnali vengono elaborati tramite dispositivi ADC (Convertitore Analogico-Digitale). Come gli interruttori a membrana, gli FSR sono flessibili, il che significa che possono essere personalizzati in base alle esigenze del cliente. Il Resistor Sensibile alla Forza (FSR) \u00e8 composto da due strati di pellicola di poliestere. Pasta conduttiva all'argento e pasta al carbonio ad alta resistenza vengono stampate sui due strati di poliestere nello stesso modo, e vengono sintetizzate tramite adesivo, rendendo il FSR in uno stato di circuito aperto. Man mano che la pressione viene applicata e rilasciata, il valore della resistenza cambia. Il FSR misura la forza applicata su una specifica area, e quindi trasmette queste informazioni attraverso il dispositivo elettronico di output selezionato.
